Never Buy Cotton Balls Again and Use These Reusable Makeup Remover Cloths Instead

At the top of the list of products I never remember to buy sits cotton rounds. They're not essential like food or toilet paper so they're easily forgettable, but are terribly missed when I'm attempting to remove my makeup without one. Reusable makeup remover cloths solve that problem.

Made of tiny antimicrobial fibers, these cloths work like a magnet, removing makeup using just water. The whole only-use-water thing didn't make any sense to me and I just didn't feel compelled to use one, which is why it took me years to add reusable makeup remover cloths to my routine. But now that I have, I can never go back.

Using them is gleefully simple. Just wet them and wipe away your makeup. When you're done, rinse them, ring out the excess water, and hang them to dry. Use them in sections, so use one corner one day and move to another section the next, and wash when needed. Because they're antimicrobial, you can use them a few times before throwing them in the wash. While some manufacturers recommend washing them by hand, others can go in the wash.

The best part about them is that they're reusable, meaning I'm not constantly throwing one or more out every day. It's also amazing how durable they are—you can really use them to scrub away makeup in a way a cotton round could never. Shop three reusable makeup remover cloths below.

If you love the shape and size of cotton rounds, go for this set from The Original Makeup Eraser. It comes with seven, meaning you can have one for every day of the week and toss them in the wash with your weekly load. However, remember that these are antimicrobial, so as long as you rinse them and ring them out and let them dry out, there's no need to launder after each use unless you want to. In addition to makeup removal, they're also great for face mask removal and toner application.

For something that will give you more targeted use, grab this magic makeup-removing mit. It's made with microfibers that cling to dirt and makeup, but since it's not antimicrobial, you'll want to wash it with hand soap after each use. What's more? Because its a mitt, it can also double as a self-tanner applicator.
