There seems to be an unspoken, yet universally recognized law that anything tiny or miniature is automatically cute AF. (Have you ever seen a teacup animal or literally any of these things?) Naturally, this also applies to extremely small—sorry, cozy—homes. To capitalize on the tiny-things obsession, a resort in Chetek, Wisconsin, Escape Village, combined intelligently designed (read: multitasking) furniture and architecture with a dash of Frank Lloyd Wright inspiration, and the result is little (sustainable!) boxes on the hillside.

Located near Canoe Bay, in the northwestern part of the state, the resort comprises 100 acres of greenery, and, according to the designers, 90 percent of the property will remain undeveloped so each tiny home can offer more than enough privacy. Furthermore, each tiny respite was built with the environment in mind, featuring sustainable wood and energy-efficient, on-demand water heaters. And since the cabins are mobile, you have your pick of location and lakefront views. While the miniature abodes give you the feeling of camping, they offer the modern amenities of full-size, fully operational living spaces—meaning full bathrooms and a washer and dryer unit. (So, let’s just call it glamping.)

There are currently 10 models you can choose from, and prices vary by model but start at $195 per night. If you become completely enamored with your tiny home and refuse to leave once your vacation is over—you don’t have to. You can buy your own (and then outfit it with these multitasking Pottery Barn finds).

Meander through the abodes below.
