Venus Aspects Abound This Week—Here’s How To Make the Most of the Cosmic Positivity

Amid a year full of grief, loss, and reckoning with systemic injustice, gratitude is easy to forget. Yet, there’s incredible wisdom to be gleaned in counting blessings; research even suggests that looking at what’s going well and consciously conjuring gratitude can elevate well-being. And in the days to come, as Venus makes many positive aspects, cosmically speaking, it’s time to turn our attention to what’s going right.

Venus, the planet of love and beauty who rules Libra, which is the sign the sun travels in until Thursday, transits in Virgo, the priestess’s sign. In doing so, Venus asks all of us to make the days ahead sacred. As we embrace this cosmic confluence of opportunity, she invites us to commune with our hearts and spiritual wisdom, and she asks us to act with intention.

Beginning on Sunday, when she opposes Neptune, Venus calls us into our intuitive knowing. Listen to and trust the subtle voice within as it guides you forward. Simultaneously, Mercury opposes Uranus again (due to Mercury’s retrograde transit), amplifying our “sixth” sense of intuition even more. Meanwhile, Mars, who is also retrograde, squares Jupiter. Because of all of this, you can expect the day to feel decidedly not boring and potentially emotional.

Furthermore, the sun squares Saturn then, too, inviting us to shed what’s no longer vital and to develop the structures needed to bring what’s not yet formed into being. Venus’s trine to Jupiter, which perfects Monday, October 19, fuels this threshold and offers us the opportunity to catapult positivity, especially if we do the work to stay rooted in gratitude.

Acknowledge your strengths, celebrate your wins, and review what’s happened and what you’ve learned as a result.

Take time early in the week to journal and record everything you’re grateful for, including things both minute and exquisite. While journaling is even more fruitful now, with Mercury in retrograde, if it’s not your thing or you can’t find the time to do it, speak your gratitude out loud. Acknowledge your strengths, celebrate your wins, and review what’s happened and what you’ve learned as a result. Take stock of how you’ve persevered, and even improved amid challenging times. As Venus perfects her earth trine to Jupiter in Capricorn on Monday, a positive mindset elevates this auspicious transit’s potential even more. There’s no better way to stay optimistic than to remain grateful.

Then on Tuesday, October 20, Venus squares the nodes of fates. This evolutionary aspect asks you to choose self-love over self-loathing. Self-love means supporting yourself by taking actions that lead you toward a greater sense of well-being instead of staying stuck in pain. What can you do to amplify your self-love now? On Wednesday, the 21st, Venus trines Pluto, helping you make a pivotal move toward owning your inner-power and strength even more. Lean into it.

On Thursday, we say goodbye to Libra season and hello to Scorpio season, and as we do, Venus has her applying trine to Saturn. It’s time to get even grittier and become more in tune with your passion and tenacity. After all, Scorpio is both determined and dedicated, and Venus’s trine to Saturn accentuates the need to stay practical on the path of actualizing your dreams. This trine perfects on Saturday but is in play for the entire week ahead.

Just don’t forget that Mercury is in retrograde. Even with the moon waxing and a week of Venus making positive aspects to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn, you’d be wise to take time to revisit where you’ve been and to refine the lessons you learned.
