Historically, I’ve approached facial oils with extreme caution. I have oily skin, and facial oils of any kind have tended to bring out the worst in it. Best case scenario: Past-me would wake up in the morning with a zit on my chin instead of the brightness and clear complexion that was promised on the bottle. Fast-forward five years, however, and present-day me can’t get enough. My latest discovery I’ve been using on the regular? Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen All-In-One Face Oil, which helps to smooth over fine lines that have started to develop on my forehead while reducing inflammation and acne.

The formula contains 16 vegan oils blended to help plump and fight dryness and dullness that can happen during the cold weather months. Ingredients include meadowfoam (which comes from the Limnanthes alba flower), hemp, sunflower, cranberry, olive, broccoli (yes, broccoli), and grapeseed oil, all of which infuse skin with deep hydration; blackcurrant, tsubaki (derived from the Camellia japonica trees), sacha inchi (a type of nut), and sea buckthorn (a kind of shrub) oils that naturally iron out wrinkles; and a sweet blend of prickly pear, cucumber, rosehip, watermelon, and pomegranate oils, all of which fortify the skin’s barrier and protect it against free radicals.
The All-In-One oil is ideal for all skin types (even if yours is oily—its vegan formula is non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog pores), but it’s especially a lifesaver if you’re dealing with skin that could use more nourishment in dry weather, or you’ve been on the hunt for something that visibly helps reduce fine lines.
For the record, I’ve been testing it out for several weeks every night, and see a noticeable difference every morning. My skin is smoother and healthier-looking (even though the weather has been teeter-tottering between 90 and 48 degrees here in Los Angeles—which should be reason enough for my skin to protest), and it actually appears brighter and more even. In terms of consistency, this oil is rich, but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin (it also has an orange-y tint, which might temporarily give your skin a tanner appearance if you have a light complexion—this goes away by morning).
And I’m not the only one who co-signs this oil. Sephora customers are on board, as well. One reviewer writes: “Work and life has me stressed out so my skin care regimen has gone out the window….Lately I’ve been making a promise to myself to attempt self care on a regular basis. I have all the Summer Friday products, and after I cleanse and moisturize I use this; my skin looks and feels like I just came out into the world I love this product, it is a must buy!”
Another adds, “Wow! Put it on at night and I wake up with soft, clear, un-inflamed, relaxed and moisturized skin. I love it.”
TLDR: If you’re scared of using facial oil because they’ve made you break out in the past, give this one a go. Your skin will be thankful for it in the morning.
