Whether your name is immortalized forever along the Hollywood Walk of Fame or not (yet), you likely consider one beloved dish worthy of a hot-pink star. No surprises here: I'm talking about the ever-addicting and always-'grammable avocado toast.  While there's no contesting that the creamy green dream coupled with complex carbs will *always* be a stalwart menu item, celebs have been streamlining things as of late by skipping the sourdough base in favor of innovative, pared down (but still mouth-watering) options. In fact, these updates may just be the best thing since…sliced bread.

So, keeping in mind that your precious brunch go-to will always be there catch you when you fall into a food rut, why not take a brekkie-upgrading page from the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Chrissy Teigen, and Olivia Munn? You might just save yourself an extra two minutes of toasting time and discover uncharted breakfast territory.

Scroll down to see how Hudgens, Teigen, and Munn are deconstructing and reinventing classic avocado toast.

1. Make like Vanessa Hudgens, and just grab a spoon

Just like you might toss a piece of fruit into your gym bag for hassle-free morning fuel, Hudgens is a proponent of eating your avocado au naturel. "I eat a whole avocado a day," the actress tells Women's Health. "I need high fats. If I'm not getting enough, my body holds onto calories. We've been trained to think that fats are bad, but they're so good—a source of energy and sustenance that keeps you going through the day."

Sorry, toast, but at least for now, this High School Musical star just has to go her own way. (Had to.)

2. Send your avocado toast into retrograde, à la Chrissy Teiegen

For a long time, the bread has been doing all the heavy lifting in this #goals relationship, but Teigen decided to send to invert the setup. In her hot-off-the-presses cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for Morethe model shares what she deems, "reverse avocado toast," a dish of, "perfect avocado halves showered with a ton of toasty bread crumbs with a cayenne kick," she writes. So even though the toast is, well, toast, you still won't miss out on the satisfying crunch.

3. Spice up your avo halves with Olivia Munn's zesty toppings

Rather than popping a plain old avocado slice onto her plate, Munn champions sprinkling a few basic ingredients on top to upgrade the fruit into borderline gourmet territory. To follow the suit, just sprinkle on protein-rich hemp seeds, kosher salt, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
