From Hailey Bieber to Jessica Alba, there are a few celebrities we turn to time and time again for skin-care inspiration. But GLAMGLOW's muse for the beloved Youthmud Glow Stimulating and Exfoliating Treatment Mask ($60) was none other than Matrix star Keanu Reeves. According to the brand, he requested a product that gave him camera-ready skin in less than 10 minutes, and founder Shannon Dellimore was eager to deliver. Now, we can all benefit from his request.

What makes this mud mask a celebrity must-have (and something worth shopping for yourself) is its quick results, simple application process, and gentle formulation that leaves skin feeling smooth and soft ahead of any on-camera moment. But how? It's formulated with potent and fast-acting ingredients that quickly exfoliate, nourish, and treat the skin's outermost layer without being too abrasive.

When it comes to the mask's ability to exfoliate the skin, the key ingredient is volcanic rock, which may already be in your bathroom in the form of a pumice stone. Because it comes from a combination of lava and water, it's rough on the outside but porous on the inside. This unique texture makes it a great natural and gentle exfoliator to treat dry or inflamed areas of the skin.

Next on the ingredients list is a natural clay blend, which quickly removes impurities and oils from pores and gives the mask its thick texture. According to Sharon McGlinchey, celebrity facialist and founder of MV Skin Sharon McGlinchey, clay masks generally work in three phases on the skin. "The first two phases are beneficial for the skin: the damp phase, which is when the most beneficial because minerals can absorb, and the beginning of the drying phase, which is cooling and a little like exercise for your skin," she previously told Well+Good. Because this mask is designed to be on the skin for 10 minutes, max, it allows you to get all the nourishing benefits from the first two phases while skipping out on the third "dry phase," which can pull moisture out of the skin and leave it dehydrated.

Lastly, the mask has green tea leaf extracts to give your skin a burst of antioxidants. According to one study in the National Library of Medicine, this oil is packed with plant polyphenols that protect the skin from UV damage and prevent premature aging.

When combined, these ingredients form a cooling and refreshing mask that works in minutes to reveal brighter skin. For the best results, you'll apply the mask for about ten minutes and wash your face with warm water. Once you've washed all the clay off your face, your skin will instantly feel softer and smoother.
