90-Second Interval: Candice Kumai dishes on making healthy food sexy

Each video in our 90-Second Interval series is shot at Well+Good’s cozy headquarters in West Soho. At the loft, we’re constantly interviewing the wellness scene’s movers and shakers; we started asking them to share what’s on their mind—in 90 seconds or less. Totally unedited. One take.

Candice Kumai is a celebrity chef of many hats. The former model and “Top Chef” contestant is a food writer, TV host and judge, and author of Cook Yourself Sexy and Pretty Delicious. Now, she’s also one of the stars of E!’s new show, “Playing with Fire,” which gives viewers a peek into the lives of New Yorkers trying to make it big in the food world. Kumai’s big episode premieres this Sunday, March 24, at 10:00 p.m., and she stopped by to tell us what to expect on the show and to share a tip for making hot, healthy food.
