The brand says the gluten-free shop, on West 8th Street between University and Broadway, will offer its same signature cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and pastries sans gluten—plus an assortment of gluten-free breads, quiches, pies, and more.
No word on whether the store will be a serious safe space for Celiac sufferers, but Crumbs says that everything will be “baked at a completely gluten and peanut-free bakery and delivered fresh daily to the store.”
No doubt this is just the beginning of more major baked-good brands trying to snag a piece of the growing gluten-free-eater pie. —Lisa Elaine Held
