Indoor cycling favorite Flywheel just announced that its much anticipated Tribeca studio—the brand’s first below 14th Street—will officially open on Monday, December 9.

At 415 Greenwich Street (at Hubert Street), it’s Flywheel’s fourth New York City location to date. But that number will change quickly. Both the West 66th Street (with Flybarre!) and West 17th Street studios are expected to open within the next couple of months. The brand has also been expanding rapidly nationwide, and around the world, with a current total of 24 studios in the United States, two abroad, and four on cruise ships.

Flywheel Tribeca is almost exactly half a mile north of SoulCycle’s Warren Street studio in the same neighborhood and half a mile south of SoulCycle’s new Leroy Street location and West Village HQ. Additional cycling options in the neighborhood are practically non-existent, so downtown cyclers are sure to be stoked.

Also heart-rate accelerating, as a part of the Grand Opening, fans of the metrics-based workout will be able to book free classes during four days of sneak-peek rides this weekend. See details, below. —Lisa Elaine Held
