We’ll keep you in-the-know with this weekly round-up of the most important wellness news.

Santa

Don’t be the only one at the office this week who doesn’t know which new fitness studio just opened (and is flooded with celebrities) or where that new vegan sushi hotspot is.

We’ll keep you in-the-know with this weekly round-up of the most important wellness news—including fitness and yoga studio openings, celeb juice cleanses, better beauty news, and more.

This Sunday, December 9, Empire Tri Club hosts its annual “Giro de Santa,” a healthy antidote to the popular SantaCon. The group will lead a line of Santa-clad cyclists through the streets of Manhattan and across the George Washington Bridge.

Twenty-eighth Street yoga studio Sangha House announced it will be closed as of Friday, December 7, after less than a year in business.

New York Sports Club launched a new “Blitz and Glitz” program that kicks off on Monday, December 10 (until the 21st, Monday-Friday) at the 59th and Park Avenue location, where both members and non-members can stop in for a 30-minute high-intensity circuit workout at 5:00 p.m., followed by a free blowout with stylists from Oasis Day Spa. Holiday parties here you come!

The juice boom continues with Organic Avenue opening a new midtown pop-up shop on Broadway, Juice Press debuting a location on Greenwich Avenue in the West Village, and Juice Generation announcing a new location that will open near Columbus Circle on December 12.

And BluePrint introduced a new juice flavor, Yellow 2 “Ginger Limeade,” the first new blend the company has released since its launch.

On the Upper East Side, the Studio at Remorca Fitness announced five new classes, including four TRX variations and a boxing-barre combo class. While Exceed announced it will be bringing in two combat veteran Navy SEALs this month to lead a group fitness program called Grinder PT NYC, with workouts inspired by SEAL training.

In spinning news, cycling giant Flywheel will open two new studios in LA in January, and one will also feature yoga classes. And SoulCycle opened its first Midtown location on East 63rd Street and Lexington Avenue.

And new-to-New York spinning brand, Revolve opened its doors in Union Square this week, with a roster of teachers including Kristin Kinney and Kira Stokes.

Carroll Gardens fitness spot Everyday Athlete opened a new studio in Brooklyn Heights that will host rock climbing boot camp classes, and more.

Intelligent Nutrients opened its first stand-alone store in Minneapolis’ Mall of America. We hear New York City is next for the organic beauty brand created by Horst Rechelbacher (and the founder of Aveda).
