Meat-Loving Chef Gordon Ramsay Announces He’s Going Vegan—for at Least One Meal

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay might love meat as much as he loves Michelin stars. In the past, he's been known to mock any lifestyle that doesn't include his go-to animal-based protein, even going so far as to say his kids going vegetarian would be his "biggest nightmare" and that he's allergic to vegans, the Independent reports. That's why one of his recent tweets has dropped jaws around the world—or at least the Twittersphere.

Earlier this week, Ramsay tweeted a photo of a vegan pizza topped with toasted pine nuts, wild garlic pesto, and tomato, and added that he's "going to give this vegan thing a try." And with nearly 40,000 likes and counting on the tweet, it's safe to say he's gained some additional fans with his newly opened mind.

Now, don't get too excited: Ramsay simply said he's trying out veganism, and that could totally just mean he ate this one vegan meal, then went straight back to his meat-eating ways. But considering all the positive attention he's gotten (even PETA is onboard with the news), who knows? We might soon meet a Ramsay 2.0 who's much less snarky toward plant eaters soon.
