Plenty of essential oils have been scientifically proven to hold serious sleep-boosting powers, and Jenna Dewan Tatum is taking full advantage.

In a recent interview, the actress revealed trying to get her four-year-old, Everly, into bed at night can be tricky, but thanks to a special blend and a trusty diffuser, her daughter's room—as well as her own!—is totally Zen.

"I blend lavender, peppermint, and lemon together, which is really good because it’s calming and also purifies the air." — Jenna Dewan Tatum.

"I blend lavender, peppermint, and lemon together, which is really good—one because it’s calming, but it also purifies the air," she told Women's Health. "I think [my daughter] sleeps 11 hours, so I don’t know, maybe I have the secret."

That's not the star's only genius method for helping her little one catch some zzz's, though. Dewan Tatum also created a nightly routine that sends Everly into relaxation mode pretty much immediately.

"I’ll make a little smiley face on her belly with a lavender oil roller before bed," the actress said.
