Lana Condor is doing all the things. When she and I connected over Zoom last month, she was gearing up for the press tour for her new movie, Moonshot (which came out March 31 on HBO Max), and took the call from the wardrobe department on the set of the new TV show she's filming. In addition to professional projects she's juggling (if you thought she would be taking a break after starring in the Netflix YA series To All the Boys I've Loved Before, you were dead, dead wrong), the 24-year-old actor recently got engaged to actor Anthony De La Torre and is in the midst of wedding planning.

She'll be the first one to tell you that she's got a lot going on—but she'll also be the first to admit that if it weren't for her self-care routine, there would be no way she could pull it all off.

Condor's self-care routine is all about "reclaiming her body"

"I'm about to start a show. I'm about to go on a press tour. That can feel quite daunting. There's no way to sugarcoat that. It's a lot of work. If I do not take care of my mental health during more busy times, I absolutely will just crumble," Condor says. I ask what her self-care routine looks like, and Condor replies, "I start the morning with the five-minute gratitude journal, which has been very grounding for me."

Another way Condor unwinds and takes care of herself? Baths. "I'm just a huge bath girl. I love taking baths. Oftentimes, part of my self-care routine is soaking in the tub and doing my skin care and doing my hair masks, because when I do those things for myself, I'm telling my body, you are worthy of good things. You are worthy of being taken care of."

Condor, who has been incredibly forthcoming about her struggles with body dysmorphia as well as her thoughts on unattainable beauty standards in Hollywood, shares the importance of "reclaiming her body" as someone who heavily relies on it to make a living. "I'm that person where I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to my body. In this industry, my body is my instrument. I often have found that I need to do the tub, and I need to do really nice skin-care, hair-care time to reclaim my body and give it the love that it deserves. So, I've been doing that quite a lot, and it's been amazing," she says.

Inside Condor's skin-care routine: The products she swears by

Aside from her bath ritual, I ask Condor if she has a specific evening skin-care routine that helps with her wind-down process.  As a global brand ambassador for Neutrogena, it should shock absolutely no one that she relies on a nourishing nighttime regimen to give her skin (and her body and mind) an end-of-day reset.

It starts with Neutrogena cleansing wipes, which, Condor shares, De La Torre has ready for her when she comes home (someone get this guy all the gold stars they can find, stat). "When I go home, I am exhausted. I'm like, 'Oh my God, I'm so tired.' All I [can] think about is going to bed or getting in the tub, and my fiancé knows that about me, so when I come home, he has the Neutrogena cleansing wipes at the ready. Every time he does it, I'm like, 'I'm so grateful for you' ...because he knows that I get so mad at myself if I were to accidentally just pass out with my makeup on," she says.

After, she'll cleanse her skin in the tub. "At night, when I want something a little bit more gentle because I've had so much on my face all day, I'll do the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Cleanser," Condor says.

One step she never skips is witch hazel, a drugstore gem that helps prevent inflammation and acne. "It's really calming to my skin," Condor says. "Then, I moisturize with Hydro Boost Water Gel & Oil-Free Face Moisturizer because I have really dry skin, and it really seeps well into my skin." Last but not least? Lavender bedtime mist oil. "It puts me in a calm state and gets me ready for sleep," she says.

Condor's approach to self-care is a good reminder for all of us to make sure we make more time to rest, reboot, and be kinder to ourselves—no matter how packed our Google Cal gets.
