Your jam-packed schedule is no excuse to skip lunch. Panera just announced it's buying the Boston-based cafe chain Au Bon Pain as part of an ambitious expansion plan—meaning a quick and healthy meal will be easier to come by for even the busiest girls.

According to Panera founder, Chairman, and CEO Ron Shaich in a press release, this move will help make it possible for Panera to get a foothold in more areas where there's currently a serious dearth of healthy options—I'm talking hospitals, college food courts, and transportation centers. This move will help make it possible for Panera to get a foothold in more areas where there's currently a serious dearth of healthy options.

And with more access to Panera's protein-packed salads and Au Bon Pan's fresh fruit, you may be well on your way to boosting your mood, scientifically: According to a 2016 study, an extra serving of fruits or veggies a day led to the same increase in happiness an unemployed person feels after landing a job.

Here's what you should know about Panera ditching its artificial ingredients, and here are some genius hacks for making the menu even healthier.
