Skin-care kits are often a mixed bag—some products included in a set are worthy of your top shelf, while others? Well, not so much. Suffice it to say, few sets boast the full package, and fewer still have earned the approval of savvy beauty shoppers and dermatologists alike. As challenging as these sets are to find, they do exist. Case in point: the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Icons Skin-Care Kit (originally $166, now $139), which includes not one, not two, but five skin-care must-haves worth a spot in your permanent routine. The set is on sale today—and today only—for more than 20 percent off its original price on QVC.

Peter Thomas Roth, Un-Wrinkle 5-Piece Icons Skin-Care Kit — $140.00

Originally $166, now $139

Includes:

  • 8.5-oz Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel
  • 2-oz Un-Wrinkle Moisturizing Serum
  • 5.1-oz Mega-Size Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Cream
  • 1-oz Super-Size Retinol Fusion PM Eye Cream
  • 5.1-oz 24K Gold Mask

Each Peter Thomas Roth Skin-Care Kit includes five of the brand’s most iconic products for aging skin, some of which are super-sized. All contain antioxidant-rich vitamin C, skin hydrators like hyaluronic acid and ceramides, and skin-strengthening peptides and retinol—ingredients that Geeta Yadav, MD, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Facet Dermatology, recommends for people with mature skin. Together, they can serve as a potent regimen to improve and maintain skin health through your golden years.

This starts with the brand’s Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel (normally $39), which contains a skin-brightening blend of glycolic and salicylic acids.

“Both are chemical exfoliants,” says Dr. Yadav. “The former works at the surface level of the skin to help shed dead skin cells that cause a dull appearance, which helps smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles and fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation. The latter can penetrate and exfoliate within the pore, helping to decongest skin and make enlarged pores look smaller.” The cleansing gel is one Dr. Yadav recommends for most skin types, save for those with very dry or sensitive skin. “Gel formulas tend to leave skin craving moisture, especially if the skin is not oily,” she explains.

Next is Un-Wrinkle Moisturizing Serum (normally $120) that boasts a hefty combination of peptides and hyaluronic acid to simultaneously firm and smooth skin while softening fine lines and wrinkles.

Specifically, “peptides can help trigger the fibroblasts in your skin to make new collagen, helping to firm, smooth, and tighten,” says Dr. Yadav. “Hyaluronic acid plumps the surface levels of the skin by drawing in water, which makes skin look smoother and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.” Rounding out the serum is collagen, a key protein that helps give skin its bouncy, youthful glow.

After the serum, you can layer on the mega moisture with a dab of the Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Cream (normally $40), which is like a tall drink of water for your skin. It’s flush with three—yes, three—types of hyaluronic acid, “which means the HA can pull hydration into deeper layers of skin,” says Dr. Yadav, and, notably, moisture-locking ceramides. “While many products only feature one or two, this one has five different ceramides,” she says. “Ceramides are critical to skin health as they help prevent transepidermal water loss—they act as the ‘grout’ between the ‘bricks of your skin cells.” All to say: “They’re necessary to keep skin soft, moisturized, and smooth.”

That’s not all; the kit also include a bottle of Retinol Fusion PM Eye Cream (normally $49), which as its name implies, contains retinol, along with caffeine—a powerful one-two punch for bringing tired eyes back to life.

To ensure its potency, the retinol is encased in a polymer shell, which in turn, “allows it to more slowly absorb into the skin, helping to reduce the risk of irritation while going deeper into the skin for more lasting benefit,” says Dr. Yadav. Caffeine works in the short- and long-term to “help de-puff and improve the appearance of dark circles.”

The proverbial cherry on top of this already stellar skin-care kit is the best-selling 24K Gold Mask (normally $58) (which, yes, is infused with 24 karats of real and colloidal gold). Turns out, gold has real anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, which can help protect the skin against damage while reducing the look of redness, according to Dr. Yadav. As if that weren’t enough to entice, the mask is formulated with caffeine, too. Together, the gold and caffeine will make your skin shine as bright as the precious metal itself.

If this isn’t a powerhouse of a skin-care kit, we don’t know what is. But run, don’t walk—the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Icons Skin-Care Kit is on sale today only. Get yours before it sells out.
