Julia Turshen's easy roasted carrots with maple syrup and hot sauce

Makes 4 servings 

Ingredients 

8 medium carrots, peeled, cut into 2-inch pieces
2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1-2 Tbsp hot sauce of your choice
1/2 Tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste

1. Preheat your oven to 425ºF. 

2. Place the carrots on a sheet pan and drizzle with the olive oil, maple syrup, and hot sauce. Sprinkle the salt on top and use your hands to mix everything together. Roast, stirring now and then, until browned and tender when tested with a paring knife, about 30 minutes.

3. Serve hot or at room temperature.
