A new on-the-rise wedding trend, according to Etsy? Pets!

Since your pet’s approval of your partner can sometimes make or break the relationship, it’s easy to understand why canine, feline, or other animal friends are becoming an increasing pivotal part of people’s nuptials (and Valentine’s Day, for that matter). According to a Etsy’s 2018 wedding trend report, the integration of fur babies into the love-soaked events will be major in 2018.

The digital marketplace reported that there are more than 30,000 search results for “pet wedding,” and results yield a wide range of pet-friendly wedding paraphernalia, including dog-of-honor neckerchiefs and cake toppers that portray both of your soul mates.

“A couple’s wedding day is one of the most important days of their life and should include all the loves of their lives, including their fur baby,” Dayna Isom Johnson, Etsy’s trend expert, tells me.
