The shift of seasons can be a confusing time for even the most prepared. What was life even like before summer? What did I used to do with my hair? My makeup? Fortunately, there’s no need to stalk your own social media profiles to remember how you weathered colder temps in seasons past: New York Fashion Week is a trusty source of ideas to give your routine a healthy overhaul. This year’s shows have inspired a post-gym hairstyle, tracksuit nails, and now, a fresh, colorful way to apply eyeliner.

The “eye-framing” look actually has pops of blue, pink, and copper.

At yesterday’s Oscar de la Renta show, the models walked the runway wearing what, at first glance, looked like a typical cat eye. But as the show’s makeup artist Tom Pecheux explained to Vogue, the “eye-framing” look actually has pops of blue, pink, and copper.

Pecheux said the hint of mood-boosting color is so subtle, “you can only see it when you’re [up] close.” Color us intrigued.

Here are 5 colorful natural eyeliners to use when you want to try this trend.
