Tone It Up co-founders Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott motivate countless women to sweat with them online, and most recently, on their phones with a new fitness app, Studio Tone It Up. I caught up with the duo recently at a wellness event hosted by Kohl's in Santa Monica, California, where they led workouts for hundreds of fans throughout the day (and another 33,000 who joined via live stream). NBD.
There was a lot going on, but the two stayed grounded through it all. And when I asked them how, they offered up a handful of must-haves that always make it into their gym bags. These five items—from their favorite snacks to essential oils—help them feel centered and ready for anything.

One thing you'll never find Dawn and Scott without? Healthy snacks with plenty of muscle-building protein, of course. "I always have one of these in my purse," Scott says. "They're gluten-free, non-GMO, made with clean ingredients, and so delicious."
"I love wearing these when I'm out for a walk or run. They're also perfect to wear during a HIIT workout," Scott says.
"I keep these in my gym bag to quickly wash my face before a hot yoga class when I'm on the go," Scott says.
"Since Kat and I are always traveling, these have helped us get our workout in while in hotel rooms and even at airports. They're perfect for stashing in your purse or gym bag," Dawn says.
"Lavender is the ultimate stress-relieving essential oil. I put a few drops of this on my wrists before I meditate," Dawn says.
