*This* Is the Swimsuit Color of the Season

While a LBS (little black suit) will never go out of style, this season, if swimwear had a motto, it'd be: "Go bold, or go home."

From tie-dye to retro polka dots to bright azure, poppy red, and every other color on the ROYGBIV spectrum, designers are really sampling the rainbow right now. Still, there's one color that seems to be garnering universal favor: The jaunty shade du jour is yellow—what could be better for the sunny season?

“Yellow is having a major moment in fashion, especially swim,” says Bloomingdale’s fashion director Susan Marasco. “Ranging from pastel to bright yellow and marigold, swim brands have drawn inspiration from the color seen all over the Spring 2018 runways.”

More than trendy, warm shades of yellow that skew toward turmeric are versatile for a range of complexions. “Yellow is a bright, happy color that looks great on many skin tones, especially with a glowing tan,” Marasco adds. From one-pieces to bikinis, click through to shop 10 sunshiny suits for summer.

Consider swapping your normal beachwear for a matching sweat set this season—a perhaps your beach bag for a cool see-through tote instead.
