I wake up every day between 6:15 and 6:30 a.m. I set an alarm but my eyes usually open before it goes off. I really enjoy beginning my day with a workout—ModelFit of course. Before I head out the door, I splash my face with water, dab on some Dermalogica Active Moisturizer, brush my teeth, put on my workout gear, and head to the studio.

One of my favorite things about starting my day this way is I get to walk through Soho and Nolita at 7 a.m. before everyone is up. My walk to work is meditative and beautiful. The sun has just risen and the sky is like a watercolor painting…it could not be more amazing. I listen to music on Spotify as I walk. Lately it’s been a mix of classic rock, bossa nova, and alternative favorites.

I drink water—warm water with lemon preferably—leading up to and during my workout. Working out in the 7:30 a.m. class at ModelFit is particularly special because the sun streams in through our studio’s big windows that look onto the street below. After I work out I check in with everyone, catch up with trainers and the front desk and review the class and personal training day ahead.

Around 9:30 I go for a coffee, preferably cold brew, on my way home to shower. After I shower, I meditate for 20 minutes and then start in on my emails while having a green juice or superfood-packed smoothie with Sunwarrior protein powder, Sun Potion Tocos powder, The Beauty Chef Glow Powder, Moon Juice Beauty Dust, chia seeds and bee pollen. I drink water and usually detox or ginger tea in the late morning as well while I’m doing calls and emails.

I’m not big on makeup, especially during the day, so in addition to a healthy diet, I rely on a lot of toners, serums, and moisturizers to keep my skin looking bright and healthy. Biologique Recherche products and Laura Mercier Tinted Illuminating Moisturizer are some of my daily go-tos. —As told to Victoria Lewis
