My Favorite Green Juice Recipe: Dawna Stone

The Women's Running founding publisher and author of the 14-day-diet-book "Healthy You," shares her juice recipe that's chock full of green-y goodness.

Dawna StoneDawna Stone is the founding publisher of Women’s Running—but she wasn’t always a model of health and fitness.

Prior to her foray into wellness, Stone worked in the high-stress environment of a Wall Street investment bank, where she became out of shape and gained 40 pounds.

After trying every diet plan and failing, Stone developed her own 14-day diet program that eliminates sugar, wheat, dairy, highly processed foods, red meat, and alcohol—which she promptly released in a book titled, Healthy You.

Now an author, the winner of The Apprentice: Martha Stewart (ha!), and a diehard juicer, Stone has shed those 40 pounds and is living life to the fullest.

“I love vegetables but I could never consume enough to match the nutrients I get from juicing,” she says. “Juicing makes me feel healthy and energized. With my busy schedule, it’s the perfect way to start the day.”

Keep reading for a chock-full-of-greens juice recipe straight from the pages of Stone’s book. Want more? View a video of Stone preparing the juice below.
