To the Miami fitness cognoscenti, Julie Wiesman is the trainer of the moment, teaching white-hot Exhale Core Fusion classes that are sweaty pulse-tuck fabulous.
The 30-year-old—a former Knicks City and Miami Heat dancer—teaches about 15 Core Fusion barre sessions a week, plus she privately trains clients for another 12 hours, she says. Which obviously means she has to pay close attention to what she’s eating to keep her fitness energy up. (Just think how sluggish and cranky you get if you skip your post-workout smoothie!)
“I eat probably around four to five small meals during the day,” she explains, and she sips nutrient-packed juices throughout. Wiesman says she used to go to the local juice bar multiple times a day until she entered a nearly monogamous relationship with her Vitamix. “Now I’m juicing literally every day,” she says. Wiesman still holds a special place in her heart for Jugofresh, The Juice Spot, and Ten Fruits, though.
