Finding an ideal Netflix-bingeing partner is a task. And if your idea of a perfect night involves your pup in one arm, air-popped popcorn in the other, and a great show streaming on your screen, you're not alone. According to a new report conducted by Netflix, most people actually prefer binge-watching with their pet than with other people.

Reportedly, 84 percent of pet owners have watched Netflix with their furry friends, and 71 percent think their pet is the best partner to watch with.

After surveying more than 1,000 pet parents, the streaming service found that 84 percent of Americans have watched Netflix with their furry friends, and—perhaps unsurprisingly—71 percent think their pet is the best partner to watch with. And really, it makes sense: Pets don't talk during the good parts, and they only sneak a tiny bit of your munchies supply.

But those aren't the only reasons pets make great binge-watching buddies. The report further notes that people turn to their furry friends in times of need: In fact, 28 percent of people said their pets gave them some much-needed comfort during sad or scary scenes. And 27 percent had a convo with their animal bestie about the show or movie. Hey, aside from being adorable, pets sure are good listeners.

Research shows cats and dogs aren't equally brainy. Also, check out the wellness treatment Julianne Hough swears by for her dogs.
