The Outdoor Voices Sweatshirt That Had a 20k Waitlist Just Launched and… OMG

It's fall here in New York, and I am a self-appointed cozy queen, going straight into hibernation mode as soon as the temperature drops. As fun as fall activities sound, I’m very picky—it’s rare I voluntarily leave the comfort of my own cozy blankets.

So when I saw Outdoor Voices' new MegaFleece pullover that dropped on Friday, I think I actually shrieked from excitement. Well, me and 20,000 other eager beavers who joined the waitlist, patiently standing by for the ultimate cozy, hygge-friendly sweatshirt to go on sale. It's basically comfort reincarnated, and functions (for me, at least) as a warm, toasty cover I can move around in whenever I do leave my apartment.

The new MegaFleece Half-Zip ($135) riffs off of the brand's beloved hooded MegaFleece which launched last fall, only this time, it swaps the snaps for a quick zipper and offers an improved, true-to-size fit. The hoodie has also added more storage, including a kangaroo pouch with a hidden pocket (two pockets FTW) and, my fave tweak of all: elbow patches. So you're covered as far as storing your phone, hyaluronic acid lip balm, and other essentials while looking chic.

The brand's entire MegaFleece collection (which includes the Snap Up, $135 and the Crewneck, $85) is friendly to the environment, too—it's designed from a blend of recycled wool and poly-nylon, which means it's saving water and reducing the chemical waste that comes with traditional wool production. Don’t let the traditionally sweat-inducing material fool you, though—it’s super breathable, so you can trek either to the office or up a mountain without feeling itchy or overheated.

I especially have heart-eyes for the five autumnal colors, which have mega-cute plays on the pouch/patch combo: There's Vine (a dreamy olive-green), Sunflower/Dijon (an on-trend mustard and beige), Himalayan Sea Salt/Truffle (an enticing pink and cranberry), Oatmeal/Amber (goes-with-everything beige and taupe) and, for the classic minimalist, Black.

It’s really no wonder over 20,000 people wanted to get their hands on this hoodie before it even officially launched. Thanks to this cloud of a sweatshirt, I can promise you I’ll actually be leaving my cave, er, apartment this fall to actually do things.

Pro tip: Rock the fleece with these Good American jeans, which are so comfy, you'll think you're wearing leggings. And here are some tips on how to stretch out shoes, so your feet are cozy, too.
