My Five Beauty Obsessions: Lorna Jane Clarkson

The founder of leading Australian fitness fashion brand Lorna Jane explains how her natural beauty essentials match her healthy life and workout schedule.

Lorna Jane natural beautyThe Aussie founder of her namesake fitness fashion brand Lorna Jane first created the line so women could work out without sacrificing style. (It worked!)

As you might expect from someone designing chic tanks and pretty sports bras, Clarkson’s incredibly active, and spends a lot of time in workout clothes, so she uses make-up judiciously.

“My skin-care philosophy is easy,” Clarkson says. “I keep it simple and as close to nature as can be.”

Here, she shares with us her top-five favorite beauty products that keep her skin looking effortlessly healthy.

I find it especially beneficial when I’m in air conditioning for long periods of time or when I’m traveling. During summer I keep it in the fridge for an instant summer pick-me-up.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil ($26) This is the perfect super hydrating night time moisturizer. It’s full of antioxidants and essential vitamins, leaving my skin feeling super soft and smooth. I apply it on my face, neck, décolletage, and under my eyes before bed.

Vitamin E Oil ($8) Nature’s best kept secret! I put vitamin E oil on my lips before bed to repair and hydrate whilst I’m sleeping.

ASAP Sheer Tint Moisturizer ($45) I’m not one for wearing lots of make-up, so applying this over my regular moisturizer gives me just a little coverage during the day and evens out my skin tone. Best of all, it contains SPF 15.

ASAP Daily Exfoliating Facial Scrub ($49) I find exfoliation is the key to radiant-looking skin, and this scrub is gentle enough to use every day. —Jamie McKillop and Melisse Gelula
