For quite some time, beauty tools were the unsung heroes of the skin-care world, but as of late, they’ve started gaining respect that borders cult-status adoration. You can smear your face in any number of serums and lotions, but it’s kind of hard to moisturize your way through puffiness, which is why Hilary Duff has taken to using a certain tool (which Khloe Kardashian proclaimed as the “magic wand of beauty“) to get through early-morning call times.

“I swear [the facial roller] helps decrease puffiness and tightens my skin. If I’m getting picked up at 4 in the morning and working until 9 at night, then this helps.” —Hilary Duff

In an interview with Refinery29, the body-positive lemon-water lover said she loves Nurse Jamie’s UpLift Facial Massaging Beauty Roller. “I don’t have time to do it all the time, but when I am filming [Younger], they pick me up for work, so I just sit there and roll my face out on the way,” Duff said. “I swear to god it helps decrease puffiness and tightens my skin. If I’m getting picked up at 4 in the morning and working until 9 at night, then this helps.”

Even if you’re not on the precipice of a 17-hour workday (and, fingers crossed, you’re not!), keeping one of these at the ready in the fridge could take your skin to new, puff-less heights. Plus, the Nurse Jamie roller is actually loaded with tourmaline, which provides a bonus dose of detoxifying crystal healing.

Your body needs a roller, too. Find about why a foam roller can help your muscles recover post-workout.
