Events Manager

In this role, you will work hand in hand with Well+Good’s founders to program, plan and execute a number of Well+Good editorial events ranging from monthly panels, to quarterly retreats, to an annual industry conference. While event experience and production expertise are preferred, what will make a candidate truly successful in this role is an understanding of the editorial elements that go into everything from programming and marketing an event, to how high quality Well+Good content can be created from the events (videos, podcasts, articles, social, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with founders and editorial team to create event programming, drawing on wellness industry expertise and knowledge (ie. What influencers do we want to headline our Spring Retreat? What industry CEOs do we want to include on our industry conference panels? etc.)
  • Execute events: negotiate and coordinate with all vendors, communicate with and prep all speakers/guests, maintain invite lists and manage RSVPs, create marketing materials and communicate with attendees with top notch customer service!
  • Work closely with content team to ensure maximizing of content production from events
  • Work with sales & marketing teams to cultivate sponsorship opportunities for events.
  • Use Keynote to create sponsorship/marketing materials for sales team

Qualifications:

  • Self-driven, proactive project manager. You will be responsible for ensuring all events are executed seamlessly. You’ll have plenty of input and collaboration from different teams, but at the end of the day you are accountable for the success of each event!
  • 7+ years of experience
  • 4+ years of event experience
  • 1-2 years of editorial experience
  • Passion for and knowledge of wellness industry

Account Executive (NYC, LA, Chicago)

Well+Good is looking for a full-time advertising sales Account Executive. In this position, you will work closely with all parts of the company to develop creative advertising solutions for our partners. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in the digital media industry, have a passion to live your healthiest life, and drive to succeed in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, negotiate and secure media partnerships with agencies and clients
  • Achieve quarterly sales goals and maximize all revenue and growth opportunities for Well+Good
  • Foster and nurture client relationships and be responsive, visible and relevant to designated account list
  • Create advertiser solutions/advertising proposals, partnership programs for clients and agencies
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and provide on-going reporting and feedback to sales management
  • Participate in strategic planning for new online products and traffic-driving initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital advertising sales
  • Proven go-getter with ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Demonstrated success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable sales environment
  • Strong relationships with advertising agencies and national advertising clients within the publishing industry
  • Diligent and motivated work ethic with a high energy, results-oriented styleExperience in high-volume cold calling and pitching to senior executives/stakeholders

  • Excellent communicator: outgoing, great writer, and public speaker

Client Services Manager

The Client Services Manager role is crucial to ensuring the success of digital advertising campaigns from initial ideation through implementation and delivery. The client-facing role includes daily communication with Audience Development, Branded Content, Design, Editorial, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to ensure accurate media plan creation, insertion order generation, optimal campaign management and performance, and client retainment.

This is an integral position within an integrated media company. It requires attention to detail, critical thinking, enthusiasm, organization, resilience, self-discipline, self-motivation and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The position also requires an analytical and logical thinker with the conviction to meet problems head-on and solve them accurately and quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective and timely fulfillment of pre and post sale goals
  • Ensuring clients and internal sales teams are receiving exceptional customer service
    and support
  • Translating brainstorms between Sales and Marketing into accurate and compelling media plans
  • Meeting error free media plan creation deadlines
  • Campaign Event project management
  • Schedule and lead internal campaign kick off meetings
  • Active participant in external campaign kick-off calls to outline assets, deliverables, deadlines, and approvals.
  • Asset Management
  • Preparation of campaign related documentation (e.g. Asset Requests, Timeline, Delivery Reports, Campaign Wrap ups) for Client and Internal Stakeholders
  • Partners w/ Ad Ops, Design, Marketing, and Editorial to assure accurate and continuous campaign related communication
  • Monitoring and optimizing multiple campaigns ensuring goals are met and providing strategic recommendations
  • Recognizing, analyzing and quickly solving campaign issues and discrepancies
  • Contributes to building relationships with clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and
  • 1+ years agency or digital publishing account management experience.
  • Fluency in digital media language: impressions, CTR, CPM, eCPM, CPV, etc.
  • Excel Proficiency
  • Google Drive Proficiency (including Google Documents, Sheets and Slides)
  • Attention to Detail
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and problem solving
  • Client focused orientation toward service
  • Must be flexible, patient, resourceful, team-oriented, assertive, accountable, responsible, and a good listener

Style Editor

Well+Good, the premier lifestyle and news publication dedicated to the wellness scene, has an immediate opening for a full-time style editor, based in its airy and light-filled New York offices, where there may also occasionally be free green juices and coffee. This is not a remote position.

The editor will be responsible for spearheading Well+Good’s style content, including conceptualizing stories, writing, styling, and collaborating with video. It requires a strong familiarity with athleisure brands and trends, as well as fashion contacts.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and wellness, as well as experience working at an online lifestyle site.

This is a fast-paced writing role. The candidate should also be positive, extremely organized, and adept at working under tight daily deadlines. This is the perfect opportunity for a style-obsessed editor who cares about athleisure and journalism in equal measure.

Required experience:

  • 3+ years of digital writing experience for a fast-paced style or lifestyle site

Responsibilities:

  • Pitch and write style content
  • Contribute to and host style-related video content
  • Work with art team on styling shoots for the site and social media
  • Develop style content strategy around the Well+Good philosophy
  • Manage and write special editorial features and projects, as needed
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively

Qualifications:

  • A passion for health + wellness
  • Strong familiarity with athleisure brands and trends
  • Ability to write quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Styling experience
  • Comfort on camera, whether it’s video or Facebook Live
  • Diligent, self-motivated and eager to contribute
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous assignments
  • MS in journalism is a plus
  • 3+ years of writing
