Pinterest recently unveiled its annual trend forecast and predicted edible essential oils, self-care staycations, vitamin C serum, and air-fryers to be super popular in 2018. And one natural-beauty tool that’s also on the rise? Facial rollers.

Researchers examined data from Pinterest’s 48 million beauty lovers and found that “derma roller” pins were saved much more this year—like 345 percent more.

But what exactly are the skin-enhancing tools? There are a handful of common versions from which to choose, and they can all aim to aid the quality of your complexion via a super-simple rolling method. Pretty cool, huh? Here are three options to try out.

3 facial rollers that will take your skin-care game to the next level.

1. Jade roller

Jade rollers might be gaining a social media footprint, but they’re nothing new: The tool has actually been a fixture of the Chinese beauty scene since the 7th century. Made of 100 percent natural jade, the roller is smooth and cool, and it allows you to give yourself a gentle facial massage that aims to increase blood flow and boost circulation, which can reduce inflammation and puffiness. Jade rollers also help you get rid of dark circles and can even reduce wrinkles and improve the elasticity of your skin.

2. Ice roller

To reap the benefits of ice on your face without the effort (and frozen fingers!), grab an ice roller. After sticking it in the freezer, you can roll the water-and-gel combo on your skin to contract blood vessels, tighten pores, firm up your skin, smooth out wrinkles, and reduce puffiness and redness. It’s kind of like a spa treatment in the comfort of your own home.

3. Rose quartz roller

Like the jade roller, using a rose quartz roller helps improve blood circulation and reduce puffiness, evening out your skin tone. And as a beautifying healing stone, it’s also great for easing tension, soothing your anxiety, and giving you glowing, clear skin. To take your facial rolling routine up a notch, use it with a facial oil or put it in the refrigerator to make it extra-cooling, which may aid your skin even more.
