You know those skin-care and beauty products that you use until the very last drop? The ones that you’ve spent entire brunches/text threads/email chains, telling your friends about? They’re the best of the best…so amazing that you’d never risk putting them in a piece of checked luggage. At Well+Good, we call those our Beauty VIPs (you know, Very Important Products). In this series, we ask women in wellness and the public eye what beauty products they use every single day and why—with an entire Internet of options to choose from—these items stand out.

Even if you haven’t heard of modelFIT yet, chances are you’re very familiar with the A-listers who train at the buzzy New York City studio the likes of Taylor Swift, Karlie Kloss, and Chrissy Teigen (just to name a few).

The studio’s founder Vanessa Packer pivoted her career as a fashion stylist to become an all-around wellness guru, holistic nutritionist, and acolyte of dance-cardio-inspired toning workouts. Now, cool girls in NYC and West Hollywood (and virtually all over the world via modelFIT online streaming) flock to the sold-out classes en masse.

So just how does Packer keep her skin in top shape? “People always ask about glowing skin, and the truth is it really comes from within,” she tells me. “My diet is full of nutrients, healthy fats, hydrating fruits and vegetables, and I drink a ton of water. It’s an investment in my health and my skin.” Aside from that in true boss-babe fashion, she makes time to multi-task.”If I’m writing emails, or I have a call from home, or not out in public, there’s probably a mask on my face.” No doubt: Those are words to live by.

Here are all of the other ways that Packer invests in her skin, one product at a time.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, $55

“This exfoliating face wash is perfect. It’s gentle enough to use every day, and it’s really fine so it gets into your pores to wash away the dirt and oil,” Packer notes. “It’s great for post-workout.”

This celeb trainer’s beauty routine is pretty impressive, too. And here are the supplements that can help when travel wreaks havoc on your skin.
