This week we’re quizzing Norma Kamali, the iconic fashion designer who was all about athleisure before there was even a term for chic activewear and stylish layering pieces for the gym, beach, or anywhere in between.

First thing I did when I woke up this morning: Brushed my teeth.

Last thing I did before I went to sleep last night: Cuddled.

The one place I’d never wear yoga pants: [I’ve got] no rules about clothing!

Where I go when I need to be alone: The beach.

Most people probably don’t know this about me, but: I never went to Studio 54 and I don’t drink or do drugs!

One way I’ve given back that I’m proud of is: My fashion class in my former high school. I created a studio in the early ’90s to mentor and support promising design students.

My mantra of the moment: Balance.

I firmly believe that a woman can never have too many: Big dreams.
