Springtime vibes have your pulse quickening (and maybe your temper with it)? Hey, it’s (at least party) written in the stars right now, as rockstar astrologer Jennifer Racioppi in her weekly dose of celestial wisdom—with a wellness twist—that applies to everyone, no matter what your sun sign is. Here’s her best advice on how to make your best love, career, fitness, food, and self-care choices for the next seven days.

Monday, April 16

As the first sign of the zodiac ruled by Mars (the planet of action), Aries brings some ass-kicking qualities. Think Sarah Michelle Gellar: a quintessential Aries, who famously played Buffy the Vampire Slayer. With yesterday’s new moon in Aries igniting potential and Mercury finally direct, the cosmos vibrate the potential to embrace a slaying archetype yourself. If ever there’s a time to re-engage your workout and slay, the time is now. So kick the week off with high-powered pep in your step, and if you are at an appropriate place in your menstrual cycle (for those of you who menstruate) go for the gold today when it comes to your exercise. Think sweat-dripping cycling class, high-intensity interval training, or your favorite hip-hop dance class. Whatever it is, just do it! Want to make dietary shifts too? What are you waiting for? The time is now.

The post-new moon in Aries high vibes continue, especially as Venus in Taurus makes a luscious angle of support to powerhouse Pluto in Capricorn today. This cosmic angle amplifies manifestation capacities and your ability to slay. With Saturn stationing retrograde today and Chiron, an asteroid representing healing, departing Pisces and entering into Aries, the theme of high-powered workouts continue. However, a warning: Should dark emotions like anger and rage surface, don’t be surprised. Chiron brings forth pain as a point of initiation, and since he’s now in the sign of the warrior, Aries, difficult emotions may emerge. If so, welcome them and move through them. Remember feelings are amoral. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring relates to the liver, and liver energy relates to anger. So tap into shadow emotions to fuel your workout. Dance, box, sweat it out. It’s healthy.

The sun and Uranus align in the sky at 29 degrees of Aries—and Uranus, a planet that encourages individuality and change, may unleash a wee bit of chaos. So expect the unexpected. A potentially paradigm-shifting day, Hump Day asks you to dump what no longer feels invigorating, relevant, and authentic to you. Maybe that’s toxic makeup? Maybe that’s a toxic relationship? Regardless, like a butterfly emerging from the cocoon, there’s no turning back. It’s time to fly. So break free. Do you. Say no to what you no longer need. Allow yourself to innovate. On a practical note, if you can, give yourself extra time to get to where you need to be. Going slow proves fruitful now.

Thursday, April 19

Happy Birthday, Taurus. The sun moves from Aries into the sign of the bull today, indicating it’s time to connect to sensual practices that honor your health. With a third of spring complete (or fall for those of you in the southern hemisphere), now’s the time to embrace the renewal of this potent time of year. In the northern hemisphere, local food becomes even more readily available. Eating local organic food is always a good idea, but with the sun now in Taurus, consider signing up for your CSA. Want to grow your own food? Taurus season provides the perfect opportunity to start your garden. Whether you live in the city, the burbs or the country, there’s always a way to grow vegetables. Consider getting your hands in some dirt and plant something!

Friday, April 20

As the waxing Cancer moon encourages amplified emotions today, allow yourself to feel the full range of your emotions. What’s coming up for you? Notice what’s rising to the surface, but call yourself on your BS too. Where are you nursing a grudge? Now’s the time to let it go. Look out for attachments that can feel manipulative or leave you feeling dependent. Pay attention to anger, and channel it productively. Establish appropriate boundaries where needed. And then get back to tapping into the power of spring fever.

Saturday, April 21

With longer days and warmer weather upon us in the northern hemisphere, the opportunities for outdoor adventures increase. With the sun in the earth sign Taurus, connecting with nature becomes even more critical. Don’t underestimate the power of walking barefoot on the earth. Joining your feet to grass and the ground can have anti-inflammatory benefits—and is said to increase immune response and wound healing while having a positive impact on autoimmune diseases. From an astrological perspective, Taurus season provides an optimal time for these barefoot sessions (also known as earthing). Not capable of getting outdoors? Open up a window, diffuse essential oils, and consider getting a new plant (or two) for your apartment or house. Let fresh air fuel your lungs.

Sunday, April 22

The opening square of last week’s new moon in Aries happens today at 5:45 p.m. EDT. When the moon reaches two degrees of Leo, it’ll make a harsh angle to the sun. Symbolically representing the conscious mind challenging emotional needs, this waxing moon moment invites inquiry. Known as the waxing quarter moon, this lunar event calls attention to the intention you currently wish to call forth into your life. How devoted are you to what you say you want? Notice what comes up today that may have you doubt the probability of getting meeting your goal. Keep an unwavering focus on your intended outcome in spite of the unexpected curveballs of life. Go slow to go fast and visualize the success you crave. Then enjoy your self-care Sunday! Be kind to yourself.
