Frosé season is officially here. And while you can’t go wrong with the classic version, lifestyle blogger Jillian Harris perfected a way to take the adult slushie into a new, elevated status.
Instead of strawberries (like most recipes call for), fresh grapefruit and rosemary are mixed with rosé to impart a slightly unexpected, sweet-tart flavor. The result is super pretty and super delicious. “This is one of the most beautiful drinks we’ve ever made for the Well Done video series,” says Ella Dove, Well+Good’s video producer and strategist, who made this recipe come to life on camera. “On top of that, it’s easy and refreshing for summer!”
Her recommendation after trying it first-hand: When you take the frosé out of the freezer, give it a few minutes to thaw. That way, you get the crystalized, slushie effect that makes it such a pretty cocktail. Watch how to whip it up in the 40 second video below and scroll down for the recipe.
In a bowl, combine grapefruit juice, pulp, and rind, agave, and rosemary.
Pour into a 9x13" pan. Add rose and mix well.
Place pan in freezer and freeze for four to six hours.
Using an ice cream scooper or spoon, scoop mixture into glasses. Garnish with sliced grapefruit and rosemary springs.
