The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding and preserving dark skies, Afar reports. "People are interested in getting out of the city environments they’re in all the time and into more natural spaces that are very different from the everyday lives they live," said John Barentine, the program director at IDA.
IDA keeps a digital catalog of the 100 places around the world they've designated as "dark-sky sites," and as you might imagine, some of these locales are über serene. Check out the selection of Airbnbs below, all located in or near dark-sky approved stargazing spots.
