The 4-Minute Tracy Anderson Workout You Need to Try for Long, Lean, Strong Legs

Tired of the same old squat-and-lunge routine? (Real talk: They get old fast.) Tracy Anderson feels you—which is why she's come up with a four-minute full-leg workout that will help you get back in the gam game.

As the expert leading week one of Well+Good's (Re)New Year program, the mega-trainer is helping you sweat every single day with an exclusive video series. Hot on the heels of yesterday's super-charged arms workout, this series is all about hitting all the muscles in your leg—leaving you long, lean, and seriously toned.

If there was one day to push yourself, resistance-wise, it'd be today. "In a leg workout like this, the more muscles you activate, the bigger the results will be," Anderson says. So if you've got ankle weights, strap 'em on.

That's not her only tip for targeting your muscles to the max: "When lifting your hips off the ground, the higher you lift your bottom hip, the more engaged your muscles will be as well—whether you have weights on or not," she explains.

So grab your weights and get that leg in the air (30 reps for each move!)—it's the middle day of your week-long workout challenge, so don't give up yet!

Scroll down for Anderson's (Re)New Year Day 3 at-home workout—and get those legs moving.

Missed Day 2? Watch Tracy's 3-minute arm-toning workout and catch up!

The (Re)New Year series is not a "New Year, New You" program. (We think you're pretty great as is!) Instead, we tapped the biggest and best influencers across the wellness space to help kick off the New Year in the best possible way. Between heart-racing workouts, DIY beauty recipes, and killer confidence advice, get ready to have your happiest and healthiest year yet.
