If you’re looking for a way to celebrate 4/20—without getting high—Rachelle Robinett, herbalist and founder of Supernatural, a cafe inside WOOM center in New York City, has a drink ready for you: This frothy beverage stars CBD, a marijuana compound that’s said to ease pain and anxiety (though it doesn’t get you high—that’s the job of THC, CBD’s cousin).
“I’ve been working with CBD for years now so it’s fun to see the enthusiasm grow,” says Robinett. “One of the most common questions I get is how to use it, which is why I created this drink. It’s a super easy (and delicious) way to incorporate CBD into your daily routine.”
All you have to do is combine CBD oil with hemp milk (or your milk of choice—Robinett loves oat or coconut milk, as well) with honey, vanilla, and a pinch of sea salt to bring out the sweetness. Drink it hot or cold: “When warm, it’s a cozy, creamy, slightly salty mug of bliss,” says Robinett. “But cold, it’s been described as tasting like melted ice cream—but good for you.”
