Physique 57 bumps up its prenatal offerings

This Saturday, Physique 57 is rolling out its first-ever 90-minute Prenatal Workshop from 12:00-1:30 at the Spring Street Studio.

It’s all part of the new New York Mom trend we spotted: That is, more diverse, more rigorous options for pregnant women. “We have a lot of mommies-to-be among our clients base,” says Elizabeth Lampert, Physique 57’s Director of Communications. “And we wanted to offer them something more personalized.”

Two instructors (Alicia Weihl and Kim D’Agnese) will teach no more than 15 participants. “The sequencing will be different than a normal prenatal class,” says Lampert, and there will be instruction in key exercises to do following delivery (think boot camp for your kegels), plus time to ask questions.

“This is the first time we’re trying this and if it’s a hit it’ll go the schedule more regularly,” says Lampert.
