With the U.S. Open just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better for tennis superstar Venus Williams to re-launch her apparel line, Eleven by Venus Williams.
While Williams, the world’s first player to win four Olympic tennis titles after being crowned women’s doubles champion in London, may have had some very public fashion flops, her new line perfectly melds fashion-forward aesthetic appeal and athletic function.
The line is called Eleven “because it represents being better than the best,” Williams says. It’s priced from $45 to $95, and includes tennis performance pieces—plus tanks, leggings, and sports bras designed to be mixed and matched. We could see these on the tennis court and at boot camp or the barre studio.
A sweet detail: Each comes with a handwritten inspirational note hidden inside. We spied “Bring It” and “Oh and Oh, Beat ‘Em.” Check out our favorites pieces now… —Sharon Feiereisen
Pair your solid tops in your your closet with the Eleven Geo Star Leggings/Capri Pants ($49), which are designed to “hide cellulite and diaper butt!!”
Or work the print-on-print runway trend by wearing the Perfect Geo Star Set Bra ($49). We think the rad straps would look cute peeking out from an open-back tank, too.
Arguably the collection’s most versatile piece, the BFF Tank ($58) works equally well for a gym sweat session as it does for lounging around on the couch.
The tanks has cute double crisscross straps, layering at the bust and waist, and a tiny charm that dangles from the left strap.
Equally multipurpose are the collection’s Got Game Shorts ($52), which are made of moisture-wicking four-way stretch nylon, have a wide comfortable waistband, and a Coolmax gusset for breathability. These could easily go to hot yoga with you.
Cover your assets with the flattering pleated Stays Flutter Skirt ($52).
On the court—or on a run—it looks great paired with William’s Oh and Oh Abstract Tee ($38), which has a small v-neck and cap sleeves.
This piece gets its name from the anticipation sounds made by the crowds at the U.S. Open, and you can almost read the “Ohs” in the tee’s brushstroke pattern.
Perfect for all kinds of workouts (and for wearing under a skirt on a bike ride), the Got Game Geo Star Short ($52) are lightweight and made of moisture-wicking four-way stretch nylon.
We love the brand’s signature pattern on this tiny pair of shorts, pictured here with the BFF Tank.
Williams also designed a handful of pieces for the guys including polo shirts and shorts.
