Tao Porchon-LynchThis Saturday at Strala Yoga, prepare to witness the true meaning of the saying “Age ain’t nothing but a number,” in a Vinyasa workshop with 92-year-old Grand Master Tao Porchon-Lynch.

Hip replacement and all, Porchon-Lynch will demo challenging poses for attendees and offer wisdom and inspiration unique to someone who has experienced nine decades (and taught yoga for more than four) and has studied with legends such as B.K.S. Iyengar. She founded the Westchester Institute of Yoga in 1982 and has certified hundreds of teacher during her yoga career (previously she was a MGM contract actress in the ’40s and ’50s and wrote screenplays in the ’60s and ’70s).

Last time Tao visited Strala, Jenn Pesce reported on the workshop on Yogadork, noting Tao’s continuous smile and celeb draw. Jane Fonda was in attendance, along with Tara Stiles, Strala’s founder-owner and author of Slim Calm Sexy Yoga fame.

We can’t promise the fitness icon of all fitness icons will be there this time, but the two are close friends. We’re just saying.

Vinyasa: The Dance of Life, Sat., November 20th, 1:30-4:00PM, $40 in advance, $45 online, $50 at the door. Strala Yoga, 632 Broadway, btwn Bleeker & Houston, www.stralayoga.com
